A4e in Australia A4e works in partnership with governments, the third sector and employers worldwide to achieve real, measurable results in driving down unemployment, and supporting a diverse range of individuals in their search for work.
A4e helps the most disadvantaged in society get back into work, which in turn boosts the productivity of the countries we operate in. We help increase social inclusion, improve skills nationally, and build wealth for a better future.
In recent years, employment figures throughout Australia have continued to grow, and the economy remains buoyant. However there is still a significant proportion of the Australian population that is classed as 'socially excluded'. These are people who are living in poverty, with high levels of unemployment, crime and dependence on welfare and benefits.
Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard has pledged to use her ministry of "social inclusion" to help these groups, in a bid to stop the cycle of poverty in disadvantaged communities.
